Pet rescue & adoption shelters
The Animal Orphanage Non-profit shelter, our mission is to rescue unwanted cats and dogs in parts of the S.NJ area to provide housing and medical attention and place them in loving homes. We operate solely on what we raise through the shelter, with no county or state money that is allocated to help keep us open. Over 2000 animals are adopted from our shelter each year.
The Animal Welfare Association The AWA, is a non-profit, 501(c)3 organization providing shelter for orphaned animals, low-cost spay and neuter services, pet assisted therapy and humane education for the community since 1948. For more than fifty years, AWA has been committed to the prevention and eradication of animal suffering. Each year, more than 9,500 animals receive care.
