"I needed a pet sitter to look after my kittehs while I spend some time in the east coast for the holidays. I didn't want to ask a friend who has better things to do and I didn't want to ask a random stranger from Craigslist either. What am I to do? I remember Kevin C. telling me how he was able to get a sitter for his dogs for the weekend and it turned out it was a great experience. So, I thought I'd give this place a try. Things worth noting: 1. When you give them a call and tell them exactly what you're looking for they give you an estimate up front. 2. Before any transaction occurs, you get to meet your potential sitter first to see if they vibe well with your pets. This allows the sitter to familiarize themselves with your pets, and puts you in a comfort zone. 3. They email/fax you paper work that lets you list the do's and dont's for your pets. You can also mention any special needs/instructions and a number to contact you with. 4. If they are any changes to the date/time of the visit you will be notified ahead of time for approval. 5. They are totally cool with picking up your mail, dumping the trash, and watering your plants while you're gone. Neato! 6. For holidays, which are listed on the website, you are charged an extra $10 courtesy tip. 7. When you come back from your trip, you get a report card in regards to your pets behavior and health. My pet sitter was awesome in the level of thought and consideration she put into pet care. When I came back, my kittehs were cool and mellow... more so than usual. It was as if I had never left.
